1. Who is responsible
Charlie Software Development Center (“Charlie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the information described in this policy. Privacy, security, support, and player-data requests are handled through the official studio mailbox shown below.
2. Information we process
Information stored locally on your device
Depending on the game, local save data may include your display name, random player profile ID, best scores, selected stage or character, unlocked content, level, experience, inventory, audio preferences, privacy choices, and onboarding acknowledgement. This information normally remains on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall the game.
Online leaderboard information
Protected online leaderboards are included in current pre-release testing. When used, we process a random Player ID, moderated display name, game and app version, score, selected stage or board, level, experience, submission time, integrity or attestation result, and limited security signals needed to detect cheating and abuse. We do not need a player's real name for ranking.
Advertising and consent information
If advertising is enabled, Google AdMob and platform services may process IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and operating-system information, advertising identifiers when permitted, ad impressions, clicks, diagnostics, and consent status. Personalized advertising and cross-app tracking will not be enabled on iOS without the required App Tracking Transparency permission. Where a child or younger audience treatment applies, we intend to request child-appropriate, non-personalized or restricted advertising configuration.
Support information
When you contact support, we process the information you choose to provide, such as your name, email address, game, player ID, device model, operating system, screenshots, and message. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information.
Website technical information
The current website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Hosting and security providers may generate short-lived technical logs such as IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent, and security-event data to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and investigate failures.
3. Why we process information
- To save gameplay progress and preferences.
- To operate fair weekly leaderboards, including game- or stage-specific boards where offered.
- To verify score submissions and prevent cheating, automated traffic, replay attacks, and account abuse.
- To provide optional rewarded advertising, measure ad delivery, and honor consent choices.
- To diagnose crashes, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.
- To meet store, legal, fraud-prevention, and security requirements.
4. Legal bases
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of the service requested by the player, legitimate interests in maintaining security and reliability, consent for optional tracking or personalized advertising, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent through the game's privacy controls or device settings where available.
5. When information is shared
We may share limited information with service providers that perform hosting, content delivery, database, security, advertising, consent, crash-reporting, and player-support functions. They may process information only for the service they provide and under their own applicable terms and privacy obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect players or the service, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards.
Expected production providers include Cloudflare for website, API, database, and security services; Google AdMob for advertising on supported builds; Google Play services on Android; and Apple platform services on iOS. The final provider list and store disclosures will be updated before release.
6. Age recommendation and minors
All Charlie games, including WINDVEX and FAST POP, are recommended for ages 13+. Players under 13 are not part of the intended audience, and cloud ranking is disabled for anyone identified as under 13.
Because some players aged 13–17 may still be minors under applicable law, our production design minimizes data, avoids public chat and user-uploaded media, avoids requesting an exact birth date unless legally necessary, and provides offline play without requiring an online leaderboard profile. Advertising and privacy choices will follow the player's region, platform requirements, consent status, and applicable law.
Parents or guardians may contact us to review or delete a minor's online information. If we learn that personal information was collected from a player under 13 or without required authorization, we will delete it or take the steps required by applicable law.
7. Retention
- Local save data: remains on the device until cleared or the app is removed.
- Weekly leaderboard scores: remain visible for the active week, then may be deleted or retained briefly for fraud review.
- Permanent level records: remain while the online profile is active or until deletion is requested.
- Security logs: retained only as long as reasonably needed to investigate abuse and protect the service.
- Support records: retained until the request is resolved and for a limited period needed for follow-up, security, or legal obligations.
- Backups: deleted on the provider's normal secure rotation after active records are removed.
8. Security
We plan to use encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted production access, environment-managed secrets, server-side authorization, input validation, rate limits, replay protection, database backups, audit logging, and server-authoritative leaderboard rules. Mobile applications will never contain database administrator credentials. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, but security controls will be reviewed as the games move from test to release.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a copy of personal information. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need enough information to verify that a request relates to the correct player profile, but we will not ask for unnecessary identity documents.
10. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than the player's country. Where required, we will use appropriate contractual and technical safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when a game adds a material data practice, provider, account feature, or online service. The new effective date will appear at the top. Material changes may also be announced in the game or store listing when appropriate.
12. WINDVEX data map
Current local data: display name, selected character, character unlocks, best score, audio settings, and rescue availability. Online ranking data: random Player ID, moderated name, weekly score, app version, integrity result, and submission/security timestamps. Not included: chat, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone, or public profile biography.
13. FAST POP data map
Current local data: display name, immutable local profile ID, scores, EXP, level, rank title, inventory, selected and unlocked worlds, music and sound settings, and guide acknowledgement. Online ranking data: random Player ID, moderated name, weekly score, selected ALL or stage board, app version, integrity result, and submission/security timestamps. Not included: chat, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone, or user-uploaded media.
